Tuesday nights are still Gateway Western nights!
Now that's a lot of track! The Gateway Western Railway is progressing very nicely!
The weather outside is frightful, but it's always warm and accommodating at the Gateway Western Railway, located in its own heated building inside the Winnipeg Railway Museum, located on the second level of the Via Rail station at 123 Main Street!
Tuesday nights the gang has its usual building and operating session, starting at 7:00 PM. Come on down and join in on the fun - but plug in your car before you go!

All sorts of gauges at the Winnipeg Model Railroad Club's open house!
WMRC treasurer Gary Stempnick and Secretary Cliff Davidson run Gary's superbly detailed N gauge portable layout at the WMRC's 2013 open house. Photo by Suzanne Lemon.
At the WMRC, we're not just about HO Gauge! We have members who model everything from G to Z! At this year's open house you'll see at least three different gauges operating: O, HO and N! There will also be displays of our model and photo contests and model railroading clinics, so come on down this weekend and join in on the fun!
The WMRC's open house will be held on Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March16 at Westworth United Church, 1750 Grosvenor Avenue. Times are from 11:00AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, and from 1:00PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday. Admission is by donation. A portion of the proceeds from the show will go to support St.Amant.

Making of the Gateway Western: Part three
The Gateway Western has consistently been one of this sites most popular posts! The name itself has been synonymous with the Winnipeg Model railroad club since the 60's, and it represents everything the club strives for: Model railroading, teamwork, fellowship, community outreach, and just plain fun!
Below are some more images of the building of the Gateway.

It still looks pretty cold inside!

It's just about finished on the outside, and it looks just great!
